Multi-Support Group Product Strategy updated

A revised and updated version of Multi-Support Group's product strategy is now available for interested readers.

Details

The purpose of this strategy paper is to share with customers, prospects, business partners, and other external stakeholders, up-to-date knowledge of product status and strategy regarding our products as it is known at the time of writing – December 2010.

While protecting customers' investments in software, integration, and training, we have succeeded in refactoring the entire product portfolio to match new challenges in both functionality and infrastructure.

You may still use MultiArchive from a traditional green and black 5250 emulation, but the primary, and most feature rich, user interface is the browser based user interface.

You may still integrate MultiArchive to you ERP system using OS/400 APIs, but the primary, and best performing, integration interface is based on open cross platform standards as web services (WS-I compliant), SOAP/REST, and scripting.

You may still use MultiArchive for simple archiving, but the true benefits of the product is only revealed when you include capabilities as self-service portals, business process modeling and optimization etc.

You may still run MultiArchive in a pure IBM i environment, but you will not appreciate the full potential of your solution before you have embraced processes on other platforms, or the solution has followed you to M3 on Unix, or SAP on Windows.

Conclusions:

Whatever your business environment is, MultiArchive is ready to follow and serve you.
