SMC, the world leaders in Pneumatics, moves to MultiArchive for their corporate archive

The German subsidiary of the SMC Corporation have signed a contract to replace an outdated IBM DMS system  with a complete IDM solution based on MultiArchive

Details:

SMC Pneumatik GmbH – with more that 500 employees, is the German part of the global SMC Corporation.

The SMC Corporation has a history dating back almost fifty years, and is with its 13.000 employees world wide recognized as the world leading provider of pneumatic components with a marked share of more than 20%.

SMC is in a business where accuracy, reliability and efficiency are key values, and where documentation is essential.

For that reason a reliable, efficient, versatile and scalable document management solution is a requirement.
With the IDM concept based on MultiArchive SMC found just that.

Unlike many others SMC is not starting off with an empty archive, as all existing documents in their current IBM DMS is migrated into MultiArchive as a part of the project.

At SMC the corporate archive will be fully integrated with their ERP system MOVEX or M3 as the Lawson product is now called.
