Market leader Diplom Is expands its use of MultiArchive

Taking another step forward with its IDM solution, Diplom Is is upgrading to the most recent browser based version of MultiArchive and adding optical storage.

Diplom Is is the market leading supplier of ice cream in Norway and rapidly expanding into Denmark and Sweden.

Diplom Is has used MultiArchive for several years to handle many business documents including own invoices and supplier invoices totally integrated with their Movex business application.

Supplier invoices are managed using the Lotus Notes option for MultiArchive Workflow.

The expanding business together with a constant need for optimization have lead to the decision to upgrade the entire IDM (Intelligent Document Management) solution to the most recent and browser based version.

The shift to "zero-install" browser based clients provides Diplom Is with many advantages, among others a seamless integration with their graphical data warehouse solution.

With ever increasing document volumes, Diplom Is has chosen to expand its MultiArchive solution with an optical library (IBM 3996) based on the most cutting edge UDO technology.

Due to MultiArchive's Multi Tier Implementation Architecture, an optical library as the IBM 3996 is easily implemented in the solution as a so-called MultiArchive Library Object Server.

Diplom Is achieves a very cost efficient and extremely secure storage of documents and at the same time the users are provided with a 100% transparent and easy access to the huge volume of documents.

The MultiArchive solution has once again proven to be scalable, expandable, and future-proof - a key characteristic of the IDM concept.
