Gerhardi a major manufacturer of high quality interior and exterior parts for the automotive industry plans ahead in a large-scale project with Intelligent Document Management from Multi-Support.

Gerhardi Kunststofftechnik GmbH is a 210-year-old company with 500 employees located in Lüdenscheid and Ibbenbüren in Germany. Among their customers you find prominent names as Audi, BMW, Mini, Daimler Chrysler, MAN, Saab, and Volkswagen.

The company's absolute main focus is on the quality of their products and the same quest for excellence applies to their administrative routines. For that reason a large-scale plan to optimize the in-house administration and general routines was initiated recently. The first step in the plan was the implementation of automatic output management with electronic forms and automatic archiving in MultiArchive.

The next step will be the scanning of supplier invoices, eventually leading to the implementation of a complete corporate wide workflow solution, that ensures not only efficiency but also compliance and auditability.

This step by step approach as used by Gerhardi is the only right way to go by, as long as you are working within a concept (just like the IDM concept) that will allow you to expand your solution as you go along, without loosing the complete integration.
