H2O/Signal sets another speed record
The producer of the internationally known brands H2O and SIGNAL, have ordered, installed and implemented MultiArchive in record breaking time.
Details:
The 63-foot long H2O/Signal boat (earlier know as Buksesnedkeren) is built from mahogany and epoxy. When racing, the boat carries a crew of 15 to 20 persons. The high mast is 26 meters, and the main sail measures 103 sq.
meters, with the number one Genoa of a similar size. The spinnaker spreads to a full 320 sq. meters.
With a top speed of 25 knots, the H2O/Signal remains today one of Denmark's fastest sailboats, and holds numerous speed records.
H2O/Signal is owned by Buksesnedkeren, the parent company of H2O and Signal, two well known brands within the clothing industry.
H2O is a sports and active leisurewear collection, designed for women, men, and kids, while Signal is the fashion leisurewear collection, designed individually for men and women.
When competing in sailing the objective is always speed and efficiency, and anything but a first prize is a lost race. In business it is exactly the same.
For that reason Buksesnedkeren have implemented MultiArchive as a platform for a complete corporate document management architecture.
The first "leg of the race" was to scan picking lists and supplier invoices into the corporate archive, totally integrated with the ERP solution ASPECT4 from EDB Gruppen. And in the competing tradition of Buksesnedkeren, it was done in two weeks from decision, to contract, installation, implementation and now full production.
Another speed record for H2O/Signal.
The documents are scanned to the archive using MFP (Multi Functional Peripherals) already in place, and many more documents are to follow. We look forward to do some more speed racing with H2O/signal and EDB Gruppen.
