German hospitals work with electronic patient records in MultiArchive
The hospitals known as Heidekreis-Klinikum have commenced a comprehensive Intelligent Document Management (IDM) project in close cooperation with Multi-Support.
Details
The two historic towns of Soltau and Walsrode in the northern German district of Lüneburger Heide have much more to offer than the scenic landscapes known to many tourists. Although the two local hospitals have a history dating back more than 100 years, today they are modern hospitals with a combined capacity of 470 patients, a highly professional staff and a long list of special medical departments.
Since 1997, the two hospitals have functioned under a shared administration known as Heidekreis-Klinikum. The goal of their merger was to optimize operations, to improve patient services and to reduce costs. The hospital management quickly realized the only solution to meet their medical and budget demands was to implement a solution capable of archiving and managing patient medical records and other important documents.
