Fast growing SKS Group signs contract for MultiArchive Workflow

SKS Group is currently in a phase of rapid growth, and expanding both organically and through acquisitions. In order to manage this growth without loosing agility and efficiency SKS Group has identified the need for structured workflow processing capabilities, and have signed a contract for MultiArchive Workflow.

SKS Group was founded back in 1924, and today the 600 employees in Finland, Sweden, Estonia, and Russia represents a turnover in excess of 110 million Euros, providing machine builders with high quality components and leading edge know-how.

Being a decentralized and diversified business group SKS Group early on identified the need for centralized service, common routines, and shared resources in order to stay efficient and agile.

One of these common requirement was a shared electronic corporate archive, allowing the SKS Group to get rid of paper based local archives.

To solve that a complete document management infrastructure based on the IDM concept and MultiArchive was implemented, allowing employees to share documents and knowledge between multiple offices, manufacturing facilities and logistics centre throughout the region. 

The most resent business requirement identified in this dynamic company was the need for structured workflow processing capabilities – initially for approving supplier invoices in a more efficient and flexible way – but later on also for many other tasks.

In addition to functional requirements, three specific strategic requirements where identified:

• A new system must be seamlessly integrated with our business application
  - not just a stand alone information island please 
• A new system must be secure, structured and rule based
  - not just an e-mail distribution system please 
• A new system must offer generic workflow capabilities
  - not just an invoices approval system please

• MultiArchive Workflow is a full scale rule based workflow application that integrates well with any e-mail application in order to create the perfect solution.
• MultiArchive Workflow is a terrific invoice approval application, but by design intended to manage and optimize any structured or semi-structured work process.
